Residents, families, friends, and State College area community members recently joined together during "Stand In Integrity" month to honor local heroes from Centre LifeLink EMS and Boalsburg Volunteer Fire Company.
To show our appreciation, we served up hot dogs with all of the fixings, ice-cold lemonade, and Rita's Italian Ice. Each first responder in attendance also received a Juniper water bottle filled with goodies. Kids of all ages came out to meet the men and women who keep us safe, and were given tours of an ambulance, a fire truck, and even took turns putting out a "house fire" with help from a real fireman!
From Juniper Village Senior Living at Brookline, a HUGE thank you to the very special people right here in our community who risk their lives every day to protect us. We look forward to seeing you next year when, once again, lunch will be on us!
